Bangkok, Thailand – On December 13, 2025, a significant phenomenon occurred in international relations during the concert and business networking event “The 2 Colours of Sound Thailand-Mongolia,” which was grandly held at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL).
This event was led by Mr. Nattapong Punthakeirtpaisarn, Honorary Consul of Mongolia (for Phuket and Phang Nga provinces) and Chairman of the Thai Cultural Council in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, together with the organizing committee and a strong group of supporters.
The event was honored by the attendance of over 400 distinguished guests and important figures, including:
Dr. Chumpol Pornprapa, President of the Honorary Consular Corps Association (Thailand) or HCAT, along with honorary consuls and association members

A Symphony of Cultures
At Dr. Prasom Rojna Hall, attendees experienced a rare fusion musical performance between Agmat Band from Mongolia and Solongo Yatga (Mongolian traditional string instrument artist) together with Usa Asli band from Thailand. Additionally, a major highlight of the event was the appearance of Michel & Amazonka, world-renowned designers who created Mongolia’s Olympic ceremony costumes, who received warm applause and reception from both Thai and Mongolian audiences.
Bridging Business and Innovation
In the morning before the concert performance, a Business Matching activity was held at the President’s Office Building, KMITL. This involved business negotiations between the Yes-Mongolia group and KMITL Connext, led by Dao Wairaksat, Honorary Consul Advisor and member of Yes Mongolia Thailand, with Ms. Guamaral Altangerel, Advisor to the Embassy of Mongolia to Thailand, providing information about Mongolia’s economy. This opened opportunities for leading entrepreneurs from Mongolia and Thai businesspeople (including alumni from the KMITL Connext program) to create new collaborative networks in trade, technology, and education.

Mr. Nattapong Punthakeirtpaisarn concluded by speaking about this success:
“This is the first time such a large-scale collaborative activity between Thailand and Mongolia has been organized, which would not have been possible without the full support from government agencies, the private sector, the Honorary Consular Corps, diplomats, and all sectors, especially the participants. This success serves as an important foundation that will enable continuous cooperation in the future.”
This event was not only a celebration of 52 years of friendship but also a symbol of the beginning of a new era of cultural and economic promotion between the two countries.
